Excellent service, wine and food We went in to have a look, but ended up having a 7 glass wine tasting. The server was very knowledgeable, we got to taste many local wines. We were served charcuteri board with local meats and cheeses. The sceenery in the chambree séparée was the icing on the cake. wine tasting with or without view The Vinoteka of Ljubljana's castle is quite a sight, but I especially liked the outdoor seating with a great view over the town. In different weather one might enjoy to sit down in one of the interior rooms. In the menu card are listed some snacks like Deer Carpaccio, Duck Paté, Beef Tartare or Burrata, but also the wines that can be had by the glass. My choice was a 'Penina', as sparkling wines are called in Slovenia. It was a Puklavec Selection Brut Nature from Stajerska, thus Lower Styria. It was served nice and cold. Special location and excellent service To be honest, escaping from the beasting temperatures at the castle gave us an excuse to hide in the cool cellars of Grajska Vinoteca and it was rude then not to try a few (several) local cold white wines… We ended up enjoying a few hours here - both inside and then out on the shaded terrace where we also ordered a delicious cheese platter to accompany our drinks. Contrary to other reviews, we found the service to be excellent - Petr looked after us brilliantly and took the time (in impressive English) to explain the wines and to tell us about the region and its history. He left us with such a good impression and we wish him well going forwards. The prices were not cheap but seemed reasonable considering the unique location and the quality of what they were offering. Tabla de quesos riquísima Tomamos una tabla de quesos y unas bebidas dentro y fuera muy agradable. Trato correcto del personal. Cuentan con gran cantidad de vinos.
